A 26-year-old migrant worker is in a critical condition after he fell from the first floor of a construction site in Vanagaram on Saturday night.The police said Rubial Mondal was a native of Murshidabad in West Bengal.For the past six months, he had been working as a labourer at the construction site of a commercial complex on Captain TV Road in Vanagaram in Chennai. When Mondal was involved in cement concrete paving work on Saturday, he lost his footing and fell from a height of 15 feet.Immediately, the other workers rescued him and rushed him to a private hospital. Later, he was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for specialised treatment.The Vanagaram police have filed a case and are investigating. Published - August 24, 2026 12:55 am IST
