The Oyo State Government, on Sunday, congratulated the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in the state, Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, on his emergence as the President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria.

The Acting Governor of the state, Bayo Lawal, in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, in Ibadan, the state capital, described Olabiyi-Agoro’s emergence as a good development for the association.

The Acting Governor noted that Olabiyi-Agoro’s experience, exposure and patriotism would be brought to bear in taking PENGASSAN to the next level.

Lawal lauded the state TUC chairman for being a worthy ambassador of Oyo, who has continued to excel as a pacesetter in line with the state’s identity. The statement partly read, “Governor Makinde is delighted that a leading Labour unionist in the state, who has worked with the administration towards instituting better welfare package for the workforce, has emerged as leader of a foremost trade union group like PENGASSAN.
