Olabiyi took over from Comrade Festus Osifo, who served as PENGASSAN president from 2020 to 2026.
Mr Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro has emerged as the new President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), following the conclusion of the association’s 1st Quadrennial National Delegate Conference held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Olabiyi took over from Comrade Festus Osifo, who served as PENGASSAN president from 2020 to 2026.
Delivering his acceptance speech shortly after his election, Olabiyi expressed gratitude to God, PENGASSAN delegates and members, past leaders and the outgoing national leadership for entrusting him with the leadership of the association.
He particularly acknowledged the contributions of former PENGASSAN presidents, including Comrade Pa Austin Ezenwaka, who served from 1990 to 1992; Comrade Alhaji Ganiyu Owodunni, April 29 to August 18, 1994; Comrade Chief Shina Luwoye, 1998 to 2003; Comrade Dr Brown Ogbeifun, 2003 to 2005; Comrade Peter Esele, 2006 to 2008; Comrade Babatunde Ogun, 2008 to 2014; and immediate past president, Comrade Festus Osifo.
