Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced upcoming defense and energy assistance packages for Ukraine and emphasized closer cooperation between Ukrainian and Finnish defense companies.
He made the statement during the Ukraine–Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) summit in Kyiv, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“As a pragmatic Finn, I have three concrete announcements today. First, air defense. We are preparing our next package, and it will meet some of Ukraine’s critical needs.”
“Secondly, there will be good news on the energy side ahead of winter, especially regarding electricity, engines, and turbines.”
“And finally, I am pleased that I have brought with me seven Finnish defense companies that have been able to start closer cooperation with their Ukrainian counterparts.”
