The Ukraine–Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) summit was held in Kyiv, bringing together the leaders of Ukraine, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, and Norway, while the Swedish prime minister joined the meeting online.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the summit was held on August 23.
“From the very beginning of this war, the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltic states have been among those who have stood most firmly and consistently with us, defending the freedom of our states and our Europe. And all of you know very well what is happening in Ukraine right now, you know all the details, as well as what Russia is preparing for this Fall and, more importantly, this winter. Ballistic missiles remain a key threat, and we are doing all we can to counter it,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his opening remarks.

He also said that the Ministry of Defense currently faces a $27 billion budget shortfall.
