During the National Prayer Breakfast in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and James Lankford, with whom he discussed increasing pressure on Russia, in particular through the implementation of Lindsey Graham’s sanctions bill.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“I am grateful to the United States for its unwavering bipartisan and bicameral support. We appreciate that both chambers of the U.S. Congress are continuing to work on increasing pressure on Russia, and we hope that Lindsay Graham’s sanctions bill against Russia and Iran will ultimately be enacted,” Zelensky said.
He also briefed U.S. senators on Russia’s ongoing ballistic missile attacks.
