Springbok centre Jesse Kriel says they are not about to press the panic button even with stalwarts like Cheslin Kolbe limping off the field after a tough afternoon against the All Blacks at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Jesse Kriel insists the Springboks will not hit the panic button after their 33–16 defeat to the All Blacks, despite South Africa now needing to win three consecutive Tests to claim the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.
The Boks were outscored five tries to one in Saturday’s defeat, with New Zealand impressing with their ability to apply pressure, force mistakes and capitalise clinically on their opportunities.
“In Test match rugby, if you don’t convert or take your opportunities and other teams do, the scoreboard is normally not in your favour,” Kriel said.
“The All Blacks were clinical when they got their chances. We’ll have to be better and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
