Ukrainian forces have struck a Russian Iskander missile launcher near Ukraine’s border
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this while speaking with journalists, according to Ukrinform.
“Today we have another success. We cannot provide many details because of the sensitivity of the operation, but the fact remains. We struck an Iskander launcher near our border. I am grateful to our soldiers who carried this out. This is our operation to hunt down their systems deployed nearby,” he said.
According to the president, striking launchers is one of the ways to counter Russian strikes.
“In other words, this is one of the ways to fight back when our anti-ballistic missiles are limited. There is another tactic — it is more difficult, and we have developed it — hunting down their nearby sites from which ballistic missiles are launched. This is a separate effort, a separate program, a separate operation. And today we managed to carry it out. Our Defense Forces have simply done a great job,” Zelensky added.
