Star winger Cheslin Kolbe leaves the field alongside Springbok team doctor Jerome Mampane on Saturday evening after picking up an injury in the opening Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Test.
Scoring his first Test try against New Zealand in 2018 is something Springbok winger Cheslin Kolbe will never forget, but the standout one of his career so far is undoubtedly the one he crossed for in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final against England.
Barely part of the Bok setup under head coach Rassie Erasmus in 2018, Kolbe had to quickly find his feet and, in only his second Test cap, managed to cross the whitewash against the All Blacks in Wellington.
Since then, Kolbe has added a couple more memorable scores against the Kiwis, including the double he scored in Wellington in 2025 when the Springboks thrashed New Zealand 43-10.
But if he has to choose one, it is the try he scored in the 2019 World Cup final that stands above the rest.
