The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Kola Olabisi, speaks with Yusuf Oketola on the outcome of the August 15 governorship election, where the party lost to Governor Ademola Adeleke.
How would you assess the APC’s performance in the August 15 governorship election?
There is nothing special in the outcome of the election. In any election, there must be a victor and a loser.
Dr Deji Adeleke alleged that the APC spent over N60bn on the election. What is your response to this allegation?
I don’t know where Deji Adeleke got his information that APC spent over N60bn. I think that question should go to him to provide evidence. Anybody can make an allegation, but any allegation that is not supported with fact is as good as torn paper. It is wasteful. So, it has to be proven. I don’t know if Dr Deji Adeleke has something to prove his allegation, but if he doesn’t, that is too bad. He should be able to substantiate his allegation. Then we know that he is talking, but now, such allegations were just expression. It should not be taken with any form of seriousness. It is frivolous and without any iota of fact. It should be discounted and disregarded.
