Some elders of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State have called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing political cold war in the state chapter of the party.
The elders, who spoke under the auspices of Agba Imole Renewed Hope Agenda, on Saturday in Akure, said there was a need for the President’s intervention to secure enough votes in the state in the 2027 presidential election.
The coordinator of the group in the South-West, Aderemi Adebiyi, said the intervention was imperative to protect democratic governance and strengthen public confidence in the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Adebiyi noted that the group’s call was not motivated by personal interest but by a genuine concern for the unity and stability of the state, saying that silence would amount to complicity. He said, “Mr. President has consistently demonstrated exceptional political wisdom in resolving complex party challenges across Nigeria.”
