Saplings planted as part of cleanliness drive

Around 50 saplings were planted along the banks of Aranmanai Kulam in Dindigul as part of a cleanliness drive, on Saturday.Corporation Commissioner J. Prem Anand and other government officials were present at the cleanliness drive. Sanitary workers removed garbage, cleared roadside vegetation and planted saplings in various places across the city.Mr. Prem Anand said Dindigul Corporation was regularly conducting cleanliness drives. As part of the cleanliness drives saplings were planted, he said. A nursery had also been established by Dindigul Corporation.
