A woman in her 80s has died after being hit by a car in Co Mayo earlier this week.The woman was taken to Mayo General Hospital in a critical condition on Thursday after being hit by a car on Glebe Street in Ballinrobe at about 4.20pm.She has since died from her injuries, gardaí confirmed on Saturday. Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.Road users who may have camera footage, including dashcam footage, and were travelling in the area of the N84/Glebe Street between 3.50pm and 4.50pm on Thursday are asked to make this available to gardaí.Anyone with information is asked to contact Claremorris Garda station on 094 937 2080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
