Rakhi is around the corner and every Indian household will celebrate the festival with sweets. Chef Kunal Kapur brings a tasty and unique sweet which is perfect for Rakhi. In his Instagram post he shared a simple 2 ingredient recipe of Khoya Halwa.He captioned his post by saying “Rakhi Wali Mithaas is my little celebration of everything that makes Rakhi feel like home - mithai, memories, family and the joy of making something with your own hands.Ingredients of the Khoya HalwaKhoya - 500 gm Water - 1 cupSugar Ghee - tbspCardamom Powder - ¾ tspNutmeg Powder - ½ tspDry fruits, chopped - HandfulMethod The first step is to grate or mash the khoya. Now take a utensil, add the khoya in it and then on low flame let it cook. Then on the other side take another utensil and add water and sugar in it to make the sugar syrup for the halwa. Continuously stir the khoya so that it does not stick to the utensil. Then after a few minutes add sugar to your halwa. After the halwa becomes brown add 1 tbsp of ghee in it. Now after that add the sugar syrup in the halwa and keep the gas off. Then add sugar syrup and halwa together and then gas will be on again. After that add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder in the halwa. Now the halwa is ready to serve. Top it off with almonds and pista.
