According to the publication, travelers do not necessarily have to "empty their wallets" to enjoy a memorable trip. There are still destinations where every dollar spent delivers strong value and the experience can far exceed its price. Vietnam is among the 12 countries selected on this basis.

The article highlights three defining characteristics of Vietnam: vibrant energy, dramatic limestone karsts, and renowned street food. From the waterways of the Mekong Delta to the mist-covered mountains of Sa Pa, the publication says the country offers travelers significant "visual payoff" and ranks among destinations offering strong value-for-money experiences.
Vietnam's appeal, however, extends beyond affordable bowls of pho or competitively priced accommodation. The value of a journey also comes from the number and variety of experiences travelers can fit into a single trip.
