On the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Ukrainian flag was raised outside the European Commission building in Brussels.
According to Ukrinform, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced this on X.
The head of the European Commission published a video showing the blue-and-yellow flag being raised.
“As we prepare to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day, we raise the Ukrainian flag in Brussels. So it can fly proudly at the heart of our Union, where it belongs. Ukraine will reclaim its security. Its freedom. And it will take its rightful place in our Union,” von der Leyen said.
