The company was officially registered on December 13, 1920, by a confectioner named Hans Riegel Sr. Riegel started the business in a tiny backyard kitchen using just a stove, a stool, a marble slab, a copper pot, a rolling pin, and a single sack of sugar. His wife, Gertrud, became the company's first employee in 1921.‌However, Haribo are now pretty much in every supermarket you go in. Despite this, there are still only approximately 25 to 30 official, company-owned Haribo retail and outlet stores worldwide.‌Luckily for me, I live right by one of them, with a Haribo outlet being in my home town in Portsmouth at the Gunwharf Quays shopping and leisure complex.‌I always like going in there to have a browse to see what there is when I'm doing there, even if I'm not planning on buying any sweets.Here's five of the items that caught my eye on my latest trip listed below and seen in the video above.1.
