FLIC, the FT’s financial education charity, will soon mark its fifth birthday. To celebrate, the FT is offering up a spectacular roster of top journalists in the 2026 charity lunch auction.

Win and you can lunch with your favourite columnist at one of the top restaurants in London or New York, all of which are kindly hosting us free of charge.

There are 10 star journalists taking part in the first phase of the auction this year, with a second phase due in the spring. Editor Roula Khalaf leads the roster. She is joined by Martin Wolf, our chief economics commentator, Gideon Rachman, chief foreign affairs commentator, and columnists Gillian Tett, Ed Luce, Rana Foroohar, John Burn-Murdoch and Stephen Bush, as well as top investigative reporter Dan McCrum.

A special bonus lunch is being auctioned with Henry Mance, a regular writer of the legendary weekend slot Lunch with the FT — the winning bidder for Henry will not only get lunch with him but will also get a personalised Lunch with the FT write-up and portrait.

The auction of each “lot” will run until the end of October, barring someone exercising a high-price “buy it now” option. Bid for yourself or as the perfect present for a friend or loved one.
