In an interview with content creator Mario Nawfal, Barrack said that Turkey was not informed that Israeli aircraft were heading toward the base and therefore could have interpreted the incident as a threat and responded.Barrack said that Israel was "baiting the Turks," recalling when Turkey "took out a Russian jet under the same kind of circumstances." He added that "having jets deployed on the border without notification, without some agreement" is a "very dangerous game."
