A Law graduate of the Lagos State University, David Akinwunmi, has secured admission in a Canadian university, with scholarship and tuition support just a few months after completing his Bachelor of Laws degree.
The graduate received the offer from the University of Victoria in British Columbia.
This was contained in the official confirmation letter from the institution sighted by Diaspora Tales on Thursday.
Akinwunmi, who has already commenced the programme in Canada, received the Faculty of Graduate Studies Scholarship and Law Foundation Scholarship, totaling about CAD $45,000 over two years.
Speaking with our correspondent, Akinwunmi said, “Receiving this level of support has been particularly encouraging to me because it is an affirmation of the work I have put into my academic development and the confidence that the institution has placed in me.” Related News UK, Canada, Australia slam Israel ending probe into aid worker killings Things to know about Nigerian girl who won N120m at Saudi Arabia Qur’anic competition Bayelsa approves CATA, CONTTA for state-owned universities
