The Airport Police Command has arrested a 17-year-old male suspect, Benjamin Daniel, in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at Sabo Masalashi area, Bassa, Abuja.
The command disclosed this in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command in Ikeja, Lagos, Mohammed Adeola.
In the statement, which was posted on its official X account on Friday, Adeola added that the incident was reported by the victim’s mother at the Abuja Airport Police Division.
According to the report, the suspect, who resides in Angua Mandala, allegedly lured the victim into his room under the pretext of purchasing some of the soya bean cake she was selling, where he sexually assaulted her.
