File: NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi
The Nigeria Democratic Congress on Friday directed its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as well as its governorship and National Assembly candidates for the 2027 general elections to ensure their campaigns remained issue-based and peaceful.
The party also directed its candidates to commence consultations and campaign activities nationwide, following the commencement of the 2027 electioneering period in line with the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In a statement issued in Abuja, National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, urged the party’s candidates to engage stakeholders and constituents in their respective areas while promoting the NDC’s programmes and ideology.
He said, “In keeping with the election timetable, as released by INEC, the campaigns for the 2027 general elections have officially commenced.
