Moldova's Interior Ministry has ordered measures to strengthen protection at border checkpoints along the Moldovan-Ukrainian border located near areas of Ukraine that have been targeted by Russian drone attacks.
That is according to Point.md, Ukrinform reports.
The Interior Ministry explained that the measures are preventive and aimed at protecting Border Police and Customs Service personnel, as well as other officials working at the checkpoints, along with citizens and carriers traveling through the area.
The measures include building protective structures at border checkpoints using available resources; identifying and equipping facilities near the border checkpoints that can be used as shelters in emergencies; and gradually establishing protective shelters for personnel on duty, with their subsequent expansion and reinforcement.
