Jump to contentAllNewsSportCultureLifestyleFormer Strictly Come Dancing pro Janette Manrara is set to flex her acting muscles in the new play Affluenza at London's Riverside Studios. The announcement follows her departure from Strictly's companion show It Takes Two, which she co-hosted until she was dropped ahead of the 2026 series. Written and directed by theatre producer Andy Sandberg, Affluenza is inspired by real events and explores power and privilege following a teenage drunk-driving incident. Manrara will star alongside a cast including Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp, Bridgerton star Rupert Young, and EastEnders actor Juliet Cowan. The production will run from 26 September until 21 November, opening around the same time as the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
