Janette Manrara has confirmed her exit from Strictly Come Dancing and spin-off It Takes Two as she revealed the BBC show has 'changed hugely'. The TV star, who was a professional dancer on the BBC series from 2013 to 2020, has hosted the spin-off show It Takes Two alongside Fleur East since 2021. Janette has revealed she is facing a 'huge shift in her career' as 'reality starts to hit' that she won't be returning to Strictly after starring on the BBC show for 14 years. Speaking in a candid new YouTube video, the presenter said: 'Strictly Come Dancing has changed hugely and I am no longer a part of It Takes Two or the main show.'I'll still be involved in other ways. But, that just means that I'm free to pursue and do many other projects that I've always wanted to do and never really thought about doing. 'Strictly is all I've known for the past 14 years so it is a bit like, "Oh, we're going into a different world, a different space, how are we going to navigate that?"' She added: 'I'm making a huge shift in my career. I want to bring you on the journey with me and bring you on the ride and guide you on the madnss of it all, as it is a crazy shift.'Reality is going to hit when I come back from my holiday'. Strictly is set to undergo a huge revamp ahead of its return in September, with Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as hosts.And several of the well known professional dancers have also been axed including Luba Mushtuk, Gorka Marquez, Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova and Michelle Tsiakkas.It comes after Luba and Gorka recently bid an emotional farewell to the BBC show as the professionals' tour reached its conclusion.In what's been dubbed a 'bloodbath,' Luba was among several professionals who have been axed from the pro lineup, while Gorka confirmed last month that he would be leaving the show after 10 years.Emotional footage shared on TikTok showed Luba breaking down in tears as she reflected on her 'absolutely unforgettable' experience on Strictly.She and Gorka were embraced by their fellow professionals on stage at the Blackpool Opera House, and tearfully declared she would 'keep dancing.'Speaking to the audience, she said: 'So I've been saying, concentrate now! What I've been saying is that the dance we love has to sometimes come to an end, but that doesn't mean the music stops.'It means there are new dances waiting to be discovered, new steps to learn and new stories to tell. A schedule clash with Strictly Come Dancing resulted in Gorka appearing as part of the ensemble for the first seven weeks before travelling to Spain for a month, returning to the BBC show for its eleventh week.Gorka and Gemma explained that juggling his work in Spain with Strictly became too much, and after conversations with their daughter Mia, six, they decided he needed to prioritise his family. Speaking on his podcast with partner Gemma Atkinson, Gorka called his exit 'bittersweet' but gushed 'I've learned loads, met lots of people, learned not just about dancing but about life, I made friends, I met you, we have a family. 'I'm very grateful but it's a chapter that is closed and time to move on to a new chapter.' And in addition to the new presenters, Strictly is also set to welcome five new professional dancers to the line up.
