The remains are believed to belong to a woman aged between 25 and 45, whose identity is yet to be confirmed. Officers are currently unsure how long the remains had been at the West London location prior to their discovery on 12 August. A post-mortem examination took place on 17 August, prompting the formal opening of the murder probe. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley has appealed for anyone with relevant information to contact the police while a crime scene remains in place.
