Naval commandos take center stage at Teknofest's maritime editon

Turkish naval commandos staged a series of simulated security and rescue operations on the second day of Teknofest Blue Homeland at Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command.
Underwater Assault (SAT) and Underwater Defense (SAS) teams demonstrated responses to drifting mines, unmanned vessels, hostage-taking and the seizure of a commercial ship.
In one scenario, personnel jumped from a helicopter into the sea to neutralize a drifting mine, an unmanned surface vessel and other suspicious objects.
