Teknofest’s maritime edition heads to naval hub Gölcük
Türkiye’s naval defense capabilities and maritime technologies will be showcased at Teknofest’s special edition dubbed “Blue Homeland,” which will bring together defense industry innovations, competitions and naval demonstrations at a key naval hub.
The four-day event will be held at the shipyard command in the northwestern province of Kocaeli’s Gölcük district from Aug. 20-23, jointly organized by the Defense Ministry and the Türkiye Technology Team (T3) Foundation.
The festival will feature competitions focused on domestically developed naval platforms and underwater technologies, including unmanned underwater systems, underwater rockets and unmanned surface vehicles.
Organizers said the event aims to encourage young engineers and entrepreneurs by allowing them to test their projects in real-world environments while promoting innovation in maritime technologies.
