Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, one of Dota 2’s most decorated support players, has signaled that The International 2026 will likely be his final appearance at the game’s premier tournament. The 30-year-old Dane made the revelation during an interview at the event in Shanghai, saying he expects the current Team Falcons roster to break apart after the tournament concludes.
This is Cr1t-‘s 10th TI appearance across a career spanning most of Dota 2’s competitive lifespan.
A defending champion’s farewell tour
Team Falcons enter TI 2026 as defending champions, having won TI 2025 with the same five-man roster they’re fielding now: Skiter, Malr1ne, ATF, Cr1t-, and Sneyking. The squad has been together since November 2023, a stretch of stability that’s genuinely unusual in a scene where rosters shuffle after every major tournament.
But stability doesn’t mean momentum. The team’s results this season have been mixed, a far cry from the dominant form that carried them to last year’s championship.
