As Latin America advances toward a more electrified, decentralised and digitalised energy future, The smarter E South America returns to São Paulo as the region’s leading platform for the new energy world. Bringing together the most influential players from the solar, energy storage, e-mobility and energy management sectors, the event will take place on August 25–27 at Expo Centre Norte, uniting innovation, market intelligence and business opportunities under one roof.

The timing could hardly be more relevant. Brazil remains the largest renewable energy market in Latin America and one of the most dynamic globally. Solar power capacity has surpassed 72 GW of installed capacity, firmly establishing solar as one of the pillars of the country’s electricity mix. Industry projections indicate that Brazil could reach nearly 76 GW of cumulative solar capacity by the end of 2026, despite ongoing challenges related to grid constraints, curtailment and financing costs.

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, the energy transition continues to gain momentum, the region now generating approximately 65% of its electricity from clean energy sources, while wind and solar together account for nearly one-fifth of total power generation, significantly above the global average. At the same time, energy storage deployment is accelerating, helping to strengthen grid resilience and support the growing penetration of variable renewable energy.
