Crime Intelligence head Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is set to withdraw all charges against Crime Intelligence Head Dumisani Khumalo, Brigadier Dineo Mokwele and other co-accused on Friday morning.
NPA spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago told IOL News that proceedings were set to start at 11 am.
The case, which began with arrests in June 2025, centres on allegations of fraud and corruption surrounding Mokwele’s appointment as brigadier.
The accused have denied wrongdoing, while serious questions have since emerged over the investigation that led to their prosecution.
