Gold futures rose 0.98% to $4,561.01 per ounce in New York.
Gold prices on Friday rose by ₹1,432 to ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the yellow metal contract for October delivery traded higher by ₹1,432, or 0.9 per cent, at ₹1,60,857 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 2,542 lots.Fresh positions by market participants led to a rise in the precious metal's prices, analysts said.Gold futures rose 0.98 per cent to $4,561.01 per ounce in New York.Published on August 21, 2026
