The 30-year-old entertainer was found guilty of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm over bites to a woman's neck and breast following his initial eight-day trial in Perth. Jurors acquitted Barrientos of the three rape counts, as well as separate charges of choking and assault which allegedly occurred in a hotel room in September 2024. Australian prosecutors confirmed on Thursday that they will proceed with the retrial, which is set to be listed at the District Court of Western Australia on 25 September. Barrientos also faces a fresh charge of possessing cannabis while on bail, with a court hearing scheduled for 1 September near Perth.
