Welspun Corp has secured its largest-ever single order, valued at about $1.8 billion (₹17,200 crore), for the supply of pipes from its manufacturing facility in the US, the company said in a regulatory filing late Thursday.The order will be executed during FY28 and FY29 and will take the company’s global order book to a record $4.4 billion (about ₹42,100 crore), Welspun Corp said.The company did not disclose the customer, volume or type of pipes to be supplied.The order is the biggest single contract in Welspun Corp’s history and strengthens its presence in the North American energy infrastructure market.The company said the order will provide multi-year revenue visibility and reflects the scale and execution capabilities of its US operations.The US is Welspun Corp’s largest market outside India, contributing 27.2% of its revenue in FY26, according to Bloomberg data. India accounted for 71.7% of revenue, while other overseas markets contributed 1.1%.Welspun Corp has been expanding its US operations amid sustained demand for energy infrastructure. The company said in its fourth-quarter earnings statement that its US spiral mill is booked through FY28, supported by rising LNG demand, higher power requirements linked to AI data centres and a revival in oil pipeline infrastructure.The latest order also adds to the company’s strategy of expanding its manufacturing footprint outside India and strengthening relationships with global energy customers.Welspun Corp said the order positions it for sustained growth in the North American energy infrastructure market.
