The Ford Bronco could be gaining some new members.

A pick-up truck based on the Detroit giant’s beloved off-roader could be on the way, according to Automotive News. But that’s not the only new iteration that the automaker is exploring: A hybrid variant and luxury version could also be in the works.

There’s so much love for the Bronco today that it’s easy to forget that there was no room for the 4×4 in the Ford lineup between 1997 and 2020. But since making its comeback earlier this decade, the SUV and its smaller sibling, the Bronco Sport, have both been a success by basically any metric. Since 2022, the first full year that both models were put in production, the auto giant has sold at least roughly 120,000 examples of each per year. It’s currently on pace to surpass that figure this year, with 90,000 Broncos and 71,000 Bronco Sports sold through July. Because of this, it’s little surprise that Ford is looking to wring a little more money out of the nameplate.
