The Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi, has disclosed that no fewer than 800 students from Kabba/Bunu and Ijumu Local Government areas of the state have benefited from the Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation/Tinubu Support Group bursary scheme in two years.

Karimi disclosed this during a town hall meeting with constituents in Kabba, headquarters of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

The meeting was part of Karimi’s ongoing consultations across the three federal constituencies in Kogi West to present his scorecard in the 10th Senate and mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Karimi said he awarded scholarships to 1,000 students in 2024 in Kogi West and 3,000 students across Kogi State in 2025.

He explained that 800 students from Kabba/Bunu and Ijumu benefited from the scheme during the two years, receiving N100,000 each.
