The Ukrainian Finance Ministry has been given a clear mandate to accelerate the sale of Sense Bank, with the proceeds to be used to finance Ukraine's Armed Forces.
According to Ukrinform, Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi said this on Facebook.
He said the process must be as transparent, competitive and efficient as possible.
At the same time, the ministry, together with the National Bank of Ukraine, must address all outstanding issues at the financial institution and ensure transparent and effective corporate governance.
"The proceeds from the sale of the bank will go toward financing the needs of the Defense Forces," he said.
