Mastercard has appointed Yasemin Bedir as president of its Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region, effective September 1, 2026.

Bedir, who has spent nearly two decades at Mastercard, will oversee the company’s operations across the expanded EEMEA region, which covers 81 countries. She will also join Mastercard’s Management Committee.

She succeeds Dimitrios Dosis, who was recently appointed chief commercial payments officer, where he will lead the company’s commercial and new payment flows business.

Based in the United Arab Emirates, Bedir will be responsible for Mastercard’s regional strategy and performance, working with retailers, fintech companies, financial institutions, governments and businesses.

“Yasemin is a leader who finds the best in her teams to help them deliver the greatest impact for our customers and to fuel local economies,” said Sachin Mehra, Chief Business Officer at Mastercard.
