Passengers travelling through Edo State have expressed frustration over the deplorable condition of the Benin City Bypass, with some claiming they spent between four and six hours trapped in traffic on the road.
The passengers voiced their anger in a viral video shared on social media, criticising the Federal Government for allegedly prioritising projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway while existing roads across the country remain in poor condition.
They particularly criticised the Minister of Works, David Umahi, and questioned why the government had failed to address the deteriorating condition of the Benin City Bypass.
In the video, frustrated passengers could be seen stranded in a long stretch of traffic as vehicles crawled along the road.
