He’s converted 18-of-20 save chances through his first 55 appearances this season, recording a 0.92 WHIP with a 26.4 K-BB percentage.Also notable from a rehab standpoint, the Chicago Cubs will activate Daniel Palencia on Friday without a defined role. Easing a reliever back into high-leverage situations makes sense, but the team’s trust in Jacob Webb may prevent Palencia from being the closer. He can work himself into save chances, but they aren’t guaranteed.Baltimore’s Félix Bautista will begin his return-to-play rehab assignment in the next few days. Justin Martinez was activated by Arizona and worked around a walk for a scoreless appearance in Boston.
