Forest officials on Thursday arrested four persons on charges of poaching a sambar deer near Oddanchatram.Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a raid on a farm owned by Thangavel near Kulanthai Velappar Temple and found that a sambar deer had been poached. They seized antlers and venison from the farm premises.Thangavel and his accomplices, Chinnasamy, Raja and Saravanan, were arrested.
