The FDA classified the voluntary recall as Class II, meaning serious health consequences are considered unlikely

Prestige Consumer Healthcare's Medtech Products Inc. unit is voluntarily recalling 39,060 bottles of Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief eye drops due to a "lack of assurance of sterility," according to the FDA.

The affected product is a 15mL bottle with lot code 2552A and an expiration date of Sept. 30, 2027. The bottles were distributed nationwide at retailers including Walmart $WMT, Target $TGT, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Meijer, Dollar General $DG, and Family Dollar, according to Ophthalmology Times.
