Leonardo Ukraine will focus on scientific and engineering R&D
Italian defence giant Leonardo has set up a subsidiary in Ukraine focused primarily on research and development, strengthening the company’s presence in the war-torn country.
The Kyiv-based company, Leonardo Ukraine, has been registered in Ukraine’s business register since 20 May, but was disclosed for the first time in Leonardo’s half-year financial report, published at the end of July.
The company has share capital of 5.13 million Ukrainian hryvnias (approximately €100,000) and is wholly owned through Leonardo International.
The creation of the new company, first reported on Wednesday by Italian media, is the latest in a broader push by Leonardo into Ukraine.
