ActionSA is challenging the disciplinary findings that cleared General Wally Rhoode and Constable Hennie Rekhoto of wrongdoing in the Phala Phala matter, seeking the full record of proceedings before pursuing a challenge to the decision.
ActionSA has filed papers in the North Gauteng High Court challenging the disciplinary process that cleared Presidential Protection Service (PPS) members General Wally Rhoode and Constable Hennie Rekhoto of wrongdoing linked to the Phala Phala investigation.
ActionSA national chairperson Michael Beaumont said the party was seeking the full record of the disciplinary proceedings before challenging the decision to clear the two officials.
The party said it was shocked by the records it received, which were four pages and two pages respectively, and contained no record of witnesses being called or evidence being presented.
According to ActionSA, the records contained no indication that witnesses were called or evidence was presented.
