Sainik School Amaravathinagar participated in the Tamil Nadu Statewide Oral Health Screening Drive 2026, organised together by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Indian Dental Association (IDA), with support from Colgate-Palmolive and Vimi Magic.As part of the initiative, a comprehensive oral health screening and awareness camp was conducted at the school on August 19. A total of 705 students from Classes 6 to 12 underwent oral health screening.The screening was carried out by 20 dentists, ensuring that all participating students received professional oral health assessment and guidance. The class-wise participation included 115 students from Class 6, 88 from Class 7, 108 from Class 8, 114 from Class 9, 90 from Class 10, 81 from Class 11 and 109 from Class 12.The programme aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and preventive dental care among school students. The school lauded the collaborative efforts of the Indian Dental Association, Narcotics Control Bureau, CBSE, Colgate-Palmolive and Vimi Magic, as well as the team of dental professionals who contributed to the successful conduct of the screening programme.The oral health screening drive was also extended to the children of Amar Sainik School. The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Archana, school medical officer, with the support and guidance of Lt. Col. Kaushok Nandini, officiating principal.
