Google and Marvell said they would work together to develop custom chips around the search giant’s custom AI inference chips.
Under the deal, which expands an existing relationship, Google will have the option to buy up to $12.2 billion (£9bn) in Marvell shares.
Marvell works with several large tech companies, including Amazon, to develop custom silicon for running AI inference workloads in data centres.
