The company’s R1 arm has a claimed repeat-positioning accuracy of about 0.1 millimeter, maximum joint speeds of more than 180 degrees per second, a maximum reach of 650 millimeters with a dexterous hand, and a rated payload of 2 kilograms.
The 5.5-kilogram arm includes force feedback and collision detection, runs on an Ubuntu-based development environment, and supports XT30 and CAN485 interfaces. Unitree said it plans to open-source the arm’s control software and interfaces, with target applications including research, education, industrial assembly and service robots.
