When Masayoshi Son likes something, he doesn’t dabble. SoftBank’s latest 13F filing, submitted to the SEC on August 14, reveals the Japanese conglomerate is sitting on 86,956,522 shares of Intel worth roughly $12.14 billion, a position so large it accounts for about 67% of SoftBank’s entire $18 billion US equity portfolio.

The twist: SoftBank didn’t add a single share during the second quarter of 2026. The position was completely unchanged from the March 31 reporting date.

A portfolio shaped like a pyramid

The second-largest holding is Symbotic, the warehouse automation company, at approximately $1.79 billion. That’s about 9.85% of the portfolio. T-Mobile rounds out the top three at $1.68 billion, or roughly 9.23%.

Put differently, Intel is worth nearly seven times more than SoftBank’s next-biggest American stock position.
