Joe Rodon isn’t going anywhere. Leeds United announced on August 19, 2026, that the Welsh defender has signed a contract extension keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2030, adding two years to his previous deal.
From loan signing to long-term cornerstone
Rodon first arrived on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023, quickly establishing himself as a defensive anchor. Leeds made the move permanent in July 2024, paying Tottenham a reported £10 million. He signed a four-year deal at the time, running through 2028.
At 28 years old, Rodon has racked up 115 appearances in Leeds colors. The extension through 2030 means Rodon will be 32 by the time this deal expires.
