On the Secretariat campus, more than 20 types of vegetables were grown on a 60-cent plot as part of ‘Onathinorukkam Vilavinte Vismayam 2026’ campaign.

Agriculture Minister T. Siddique said on Wednesday that 2.52 lakh tonnes of vegetables were produced under the ‘Onathinorukkam Vilavinte Vismayam 2026,’ a campaign launched by the Agriculture department for ensuring the regional availability of vegetables for Onam.Vegetables were cultivated in 22,137 hectares across Keralam as part of the campaign which was launched on June 5, the Minister said, formally inaugurating the State-wide harvest at the Secretariat campus along with Revenue Minister A.P. Anil Kumar and Animal Husbandry Minister Bindhu Krishna.The department had distributed 70,000 packets of hybrid seeds and one crore saplings as part of this year’s campaign which was implemented through farmers, Krishi Bhavans, local bodies, cooperatives, Kudumbasree, students and voluntary organisations.
Vegetables were cultivated in 22,137 hectares across Keralam as part of the campaign which was launched on June 5.
